Connect your law firm's website to AttorneyOS: enquiries become leads, visitors are counted without cookies, and clients book a consultation.

== Description ==

AttorneyOS is practice management software for South African law firms. This plugin connects the website you already have to your workspace, so you keep your site and your theme and nothing has to move.

**What it does**

* **Enquiries become leads.** An enquiry sent from your website opens a lead on your leads desk in AttorneyOS, with the follow-up sequence your firm set up, instead of sitting in an inbox.
* **Book a consultation.** A button that puts the appointment straight into your firm's diary.
* **Count your visitors without a cookie.** Page views, where they came from and which pages they read, reported to AttorneyOS. No cookie is set and no visitor address is kept, so it needs no consent banner.
* **Your practitioners.** List the people at your firm, each linking to their checked directory listing.
* **Keep the contact form you have.** Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, Elementor, Fluent Forms, Forminator and Jetpack are all understood. Your form keeps doing exactly what it does now, emails included, and each enquiry also opens a lead on your leads desk.

**Free calculators, whether or not you have an account**

Four South African legal calculators you can put on any page: transfer costs, court days, prescription dates and executor fees. These belong to no firm and need no key, so they work the moment the plugin is installed.

**Shortcodes**

* `[attorneyos_form]` — your enquiry form.
* `[attorneyos_booking]` — a button to book a consultation.
* `[attorneyos_calculator type="transfer-costs"]` — a calculator. Types: `transfer-costs`, `court-days`, `prescription`, `executor-fee`.
* `[attorneyos_profiles]` — your practitioners.

The same four are available as blocks in the editor.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. In AttorneyOS, open Settings, then API and webhooks, and make a key with the **leads** ability. Such a key can file an enquiry and read nothing at all, so if this website is ever broken into, your client files cannot be read with it.
3. In WordPress, open Settings, then AttorneyOS, paste the key and press Connect.
4. Put a shortcode or block on any page.

The calculators work without step 2 or 3.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need an AttorneyOS account? =

For the calculators, no. For enquiries, booking, visitor counts and your practitioners, yes: connecting a website is part of a plan, and the plugin says so plainly if your firm is still on trial.

= Does this set a cookie or track my visitors? =

The visitor count sets no cookie and keeps no visitor address, so it needs no consent banner. It is off until you switch it on, and it reports only the page, the title, where the visit came from and any campaign tag in the address.

= Do I have to replace my contact form? =

No. Switch on "Send enquiries from my form plugin to AttorneyOS" and the form you already have keeps working exactly as it does, emails and all. Each enquiry also opens a lead. Nothing is sent unless the enquiry carries an email address or a phone number to answer on.

= Does the plugin send anything to AttorneyOS on its own? =

Only what you ask it to. It reads your connection from AttorneyOS at most once every six hours and caches it, so a page view never waits on a network call.

= What happens if I deactivate it? =

Your key is kept so switching it back on needs no retyping. Deleting the plugin removes the key and everything else it stored.

== Privacy ==

The plugin stores your AttorneyOS key and the address of your AttorneyOS workspace in your site's options table, and caches what the connection returned.

When you switch the visitor count on, each page view sends the page address, the page title, the referring address and any campaign tag to AttorneyOS. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address. Visitors with Do Not Track switched on are not counted.

Enquiry forms and the booking page are served by AttorneyOS. What a visitor types goes to your own workspace.
